This project develops a new hybrid endoscope that combines Optical Coherence Tomography and Multi-Photon Tomography with fluorescence technology for real-time diagnosis of colorectal cancer. It aims to enhance the accuracy of in vivo assessments and support clinical decision-making during interventions.
Colorectal cancer represents around one tenth of all cancers worldwide.
Early and accurate diagnosis and precise intervention can increase cure rate up to 90%.
