This project focuses on using light to manipulate individual atoms and molecules at the nanoscale. It aims to advance our understanding of atomic interactions, which is essential for applications in catalysis, molecular electronics, and nano-assembly.
The key aim of this project is to understand and utilise optically-produced forces on the atomic scale through pico-photonics, in order to devise future nano-mechanisms and nano-machines.
