PiezoMAT develops advanced fingerprint sensors using piezoelectric nanowires to enhance biometric identification systems. The project focuses on creating high-resolution sensors that can be integrated into various applications, improving reliability and performance in detecting fingerprint features.
The paradigm of societal uses protected by biometric identification (ID) – from national security and controlled access, to health care, banking and leisure – requires coming up with ever more reliable built-in ID detection systems.
