This project aims to enhance pipe inspection technology using long range ultrasound guided waves. By developing a new sensor collar for pipe crawling robots, it seeks to improve the speed and accuracy of detecting corrosion and cracks in pipelines, making inspections more efficient.
This proposal will aim to develop the enabling technology that will enable existing pipe crawling robots (pigs) to provide internal inspection of pipe walls using long range ultrasound guided waves (LRUG) deployed in pipe segments of about
