This project aims to identify and develop bioactive compounds from traditional medicinal plants in Cameroon, specifically from the genera Fagara, Hannoa, and Pierreodendron. By employing advanced chemical techniques, the project seeks to discover new candidates for treating cancer and malaria.
Cameroon enjoys a rich biota including a plethora of medicinal plants, which have traditionally been used for hundreds ofyears to treat various ailments, and form the basis of the country’s primary healthcare system.
