This project explores the genetic mechanisms behind antibiotic resistance in bacteria, focusing on how plasmids contribute to the spread of resistance. It aims to study the dynamics of antibiotic resistance in hospitalized patients and develop new technologies to analyze these processes.
Antibiotics are essential tools in modern medicine and are indispensable not only for the treatment of infectious diseases but also to support other key interventions such as surgery and cancer chemotherapy.
