PlastHealth addresses microplastic pollution in marine ecosystems by studying its transfer and effects on marine organisms. The project aims to understand how microplastics impact health and microbial communities, using innovative experimental setups to reveal new insights into this pressing environmental issue.
Microplastic debris pollution (MP), as a serious environmental problem worldwide, is responsible for most of the hidden marine plastic pollution, being found in organisms from algae to top predators.
