This project investigates how adult brains adapt their structure and function, particularly in the visual system, through a combination of advanced imaging and neural recordings. It aims to understand neuroplasticity by examining changes in neural circuitry following visual damage and varying visual experiences.
Whether and how adult brains retain the ability to adapt their function and structure, especially in the context of learning, injury or restorative treatment is a fundamental question in neuroscience.
