This project explores polaritons, which are hybrid states of light and matter, to develop new optical devices. It aims to control polariton flow and study fundamental quantum phases, potentially leading to advancements in optical circuits and quantum simulations.
Polaritons are quantum superpositions of light and matter which combine appealing properties of both: the high coherence of photons and the strong interaction (non-linearities) of electrons.
