This project investigates the polar ionosphere's dynamics, focusing on how auroral particle precipitation and geomagnetic activity create plasma irregularities. It aims to enhance understanding of these processes to improve space weather forecasting and its implications for navigation systems in polar regions.
Ionosphere is the partially ionized, outermost part of the Earths atmosphere.
Its dynamics is inherently complex and affected by dynamic conditions in the solar wind.
In the polar regions, it is directly coupled to the Earths magnetosphere and space plasma.
