NextKidney BV, founded in 2014 and based in Netherlands, is revolutionizing kidney care with NeoKidney, a compact, truly portable home hemodialysis (HHD) device.
With over 5 million end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients worldwide, most rely on costly, in-clinic dialysis, which limits mobility, increases fatigue, and has sub-optimal health outcomes. HHD offers benefits over in-clinic dialysis, but adoption remains below 2% due to current devices being bulky and challenging to set up.
