POSEIDON focuses on demonstrating innovative energy storage systems for maritime transport, including supercapacitors, flywheels, and superconducting magnetic energy storage. The project aims to enhance their integration, efficiency, and safety in real-world maritime environments.
POSEIDON main objective is to demonstrate the applicability of 3 innovative fast-response ESS in waterborne transport (Supercapacitors, Flywheels and SMES) addressing their on-board integration, cost-competitiveness, efficiency, and safety, in relevant environments.
