This project investigates how rights and accountability are maintained in European prisons, focusing on the experiences of prisoners and staff. It aims to enhance understanding of fairness and the rule of law within penal systems.
PRILA will create the first account of how mechanisms for securing rights, ensuring accountability and achieving adherence to the rule of law are experienced in European prisons.
