The PRISMAS initiative aims to train 40 X-ray scientists in advanced synchrotron techniques, enhancing Sweden's leadership in this field. It focuses on interdisciplinary research to address global sustainability challenges while fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and public sectors.
The PRISMAS initiative is proposed by MAX IV, Lund Universiteit faculty, to meet a two-fold objective: (1) ensure Sweden can take the lead on educating the next generation of synchrotron experts, as the home to the world’s first 4th generation synchrotron, giving Europe significant advances compared to USA and Japan, and (2) strengthen the network surrounding Swedish academia and MAX IV with regard to synchrotron methods for interdisciplinary, intersectoral and international research.
