This project focuses on enhancing the efficiency of food production systems by promoting the Circular Economy in agri-food supply chains. It aims to identify best practices and develop tools for stakeholders to reduce food waste and environmental impact while improving food security.
A projected human population of 10 billion and an increasing consumption of food are placing massive strain on the global agri-food system.
Nonetheless, hunger and malnutrition remains a major problem in developing countries.
