The project focuses on commercializing a unique inductively coupled mass spectrometer named Proteus, which can perform high-throughput measurements for medical research. It aims to demonstrate the device's utility in detecting diseases by analyzing calcium isotopes in bodily fluids.

We will develop a case for commercialisation our unique, tribrid (quadrupole mass-filter/collision cell/ multi- collector) inductively coupled mass-spectrometer, dubbed Proteus, built in collaboration with industrial partners Thermo Fisher Scientific.
We will explore full workflow applications to open up a business case for turning the prototype into a commercial model.
