The project aims to enhance the research capabilities of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology in Crete, focusing on proteomics and systems biology. It seeks to support junior faculty and strengthen the institute's position in fundamental biological research.
The goal of the proposed project is to enhance the research potential of the IMBB in the areas of proteomics and systems biology and to provide immediate support for research excellence to its junior faculty.
Collectively, the effort of ProFI will have three immediate reprercussions: on one hand it allow IMBB to strengthen its status as a centre of fundamendal biological research excellence in the EU periphery (the IMBB is situated in Crete, one of the EU convergence regions).
