This project focuses on measuring growth rates of bacterial and human cells to improve the diagnosis and treatment of infections and cancers. By utilizing a novel method, it aims to provide accurate insights into pathogen behavior and tumor proliferation without complex sample preparation.
The growth rate of both bacterial and human cells has a central role in the clinical management of infectious diseases and malignancies.
Virulent and aggressive bacterial strains have higher growth rates, which will decrease in response to successful treatment.
