This project investigates the genomic instability in cancer, particularly in advanced solid tumors, to understand how it affects treatment outcomes. By developing mouse models that mimic human cancer patterns, it aims to improve patient stratification and therapeutic strategies.
Despite progress in cancer drug development, the majority of patients who present with advanced, metastatic, solid tumours have incurable disease due to underlying cancer genomic diversity that provides a substrate for evolution and selection of drug resistance.
