This project aims to reduce the production costs of aluminum components for the automotive industry by innovating die construction techniques. By making aluminum more competitive against steel, it supports weight reduction in vehicles to meet emission standards.
Meeting the new EU CO2 emission limits is imperative for automakers: otherwise the sanctions would be unbearable.
Automakers have several options they can pursue in parallel.
