This project develops an innovative biochip that integrates a biosensor array for the early diagnosis of human diseases. Utilizing silicon technology, it enables label-free, multi-analyte detection through a combination of light sources and waveguides, allowing for rapid and efficient analysis of biological samples.
The proposed project aims at the development of a novel biochip based on monolithic, fully integrated biosensor array fabricated by standard Si-technology and its application to the early diagnosis of human diseases through label-free and
multi-analyte detection. The basic sensor scheme consists of a VIS-NIR light source and a waveguide monolithically fabricated on a silicon wafer, while its principle of operation is the spectroscopic interference due to the optical path
