This project investigates the formation and characteristics of G-quadruplex structures in cellular environments, aiming to develop targeted drugs for these structures. It employs advanced spectroscopic techniques and mass spectrometry to explore ligand interactions and nucleic acid folding within cells.

Apart from the Watson-crick duplex, guanine-rich sequences can form G-quadruplex (G4) structures, which have become attractive targets for small molecule ligands.
It is now proven that G-quadruplexes can form in cells.
