QPIDControl investigates the application of classical control schemes, specifically proportional-integral-derivative controllers, to quantum systems. The project aims to enhance understanding of feedback loops in quantum mechanics and their potential for improving quantum state generation.
The QPIDControl project will theoretically investigate the use of control schemes known from classical theory, namely proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers, to control the state of quantum systems.
Over the last decade, interest in applying measurement-based feedback control to quantum systems has increased considerably.
