The QScope project investigates the mechanisms behind protein aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases using advanced imaging techniques. By examining the physical properties of protein aggregates, the research aims to uncover insights into their formation and toxicity.
Neurodegenerative diseases are incurable, progressive brain disorders associated with accumulation of aberrant protein aggregates with severe effects on movement and mental functioning.
