Quantum enhanced magnetometers (QEM) based on nitrogen vacancy centres in diamond provide nanoscale spatial resolution and single atom sensitivity that can achieve magneto-optical imaging, thermometry and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy of individual molecules.
