This project aims to apply concepts from quantum information science to complex many-body systems, focusing on how entanglement can enhance computational processes in physics. It seeks to understand the relationship between quantum coherence and speedup in various physical systems.
Quantum information science is a relatively young scientific discipline.
However, the concepts and tools initially developed within this rapidly expanding field for the implementation of quantum computation have turned out very useful to provide both new physical insight and novel computational techniques relevant to different disciplines of physics.
