QuCIP aims to produce a comprehensive English commentary on significant sections of the Qur’an, focusing on its literary structure, historical context, and theological themes. The project seeks to enhance understanding of the text's development and its relationship with earlier religious traditions.
QuCIP will deliver the first historical-critical commentary on a sizable portion of the Qur’an in English, covering the three longest and most complex compositions in the Islamic scripture, surahs 2–4, as well as the short opening surah 1.
