This project explores the use of mechanical oscillators in quantum technology, focusing on their ability to store single photons and perform advanced measurements. It aims to investigate quantum interactions and develop novel transducers for optical and microwave applications.
In recent years the development of cavity otomechanical coupling has enabled to achieve the quantum regime of mechanical systems in an experimental setting.
The present proposal building on these developments and demonstrate mechanical oscillators ability as a quantum technology.
