The RASimAs project aims to improve regional anaesthesia techniques through the development of patient-specific training and guidance systems. By utilizing advanced modeling and ultrasound technology, it seeks to enhance the effectiveness and safety of regional anaesthesia procedures.
Regional anaesthesia (RA) has been used increasingly during the past four decades.
This is addressed to the perceived advantages of reduced postoperative pain, earlier mobility, shorter hospital stay, and significantly lower costs.
