This project investigates how debris-covered glaciers in High Mountain Asia influence the water cycle and future water resources. By integrating satellite observations and field data, it aims to improve models predicting glacier mass loss and runoff, which are crucial for understanding water availability in the region.
The research proposed uses an integrated data-modelling approach to elucidate the role that debris-covered glaciers play in the water cycle of High Mountain Asia (HMA) and establish how future HMA glacier and runoff will evolve.
