The REACT project aims to enhance our understanding of catalysis by developing advanced imaging and monitoring techniques for nanocatalysts. It seeks to identify reaction intermediates and improve the efficiency of catalytic processes through innovative experimental and computational methods.
Heterogeneous (electro-, photo-) catalysis is at the heart of our modern chemical industry, driving 90% of chemical manufacturing processes.
Key challenges include measuring reaction kinetics, identifying intermediates and bridging the “pressure” and “materials” gaps.
