This research investigates hybrid nanocomposites reinforced with carbon nanotubes and graphene to enhance their mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. The project employs molecular dynamics simulations to optimize the design and performance of these multifunctional materials.
A key research area for composite materials is the addition of nanoscale constituents to provide multi-functionality, i.e. materials capable of meeting multiple demands, such as structural, electrical, thermal, and energy storage.
