The RECONCILE project investigates the processes influencing Arctic stratospheric ozone depletion, particularly in relation to climate change. It employs laboratory experiments and modeling to enhance understanding and predictions of ozone loss and recovery timelines.
The extent of polar stratospheric ozone loss – often referred to as the “Ozone Hole” – is significantly influenced by climate change, and in turn, stratospheric ozone has been recognized as an important component in the climate system.
