RECYVAL-NANO focuses on developing a novel recycling process to recover valuable metals from waste flat panel displays. The project aims to enhance the recycling of indium, yttrium, and neodymium, facilitating their reuse in high-tech applications and reducing dependency on imports.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment is considered to increase drastically in the coming decades. WEEE contains considerable quantities of valuable components used in high-tech applications that currently are not recycled.
