The REDMIX project explores the history and identity of mixed-race individuals in the Red Sea region from the 1800s to the 2000s. It aims to create a digital archive that documents the experiences and contributions of these communities.
The debate on mixed-race people is gaining momentum, and the Red Sea located at the crossroads of Africa and the Middle East, of the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean stands as a privileged venue to investigate mixedness.
