This project investigates the dissolution of spent nuclear fuel to improve safety assessments for geological disposal. It aims to reduce uncertainties in dissolution rates by studying real-world conditions and training future researchers in radioactive waste management.
At the core of the safety case for long-term geologic disposal for spent nuclear fuel lie the issues regarding spent fuel dissolution.
