SUSTEC has developed the REGMAX system, a new process for regenerating acid used in stainless steel pickling, significantly reducing waste and operational costs. The system aims to achieve over 97% acid regeneration, providing a sustainable solution for the steel industry.
Pickling is a metal surface treatment used in the stainless steel industry to remove impurities from steel and obtain optimal services.
Every hour, approximately 270,000 litres of acid are used in pickling, resulting in huge quantities of waste acid.
