This project aims to develop a synthetic molecular machine that mimics the ribosome's ability to synthesize peptides. It focuses on protecting sequence information during synthesis, allowing for multiple uses of the machine to produce longer peptide chains.
The sequence-specific synthesis of information-rich oligomers and polymers is achieved in nature through the operation of complex molecular machines that transcribe information from the genetic code.
