The REMFORCE project examines radical environmentalism's role in enforcing international environmental law, focusing on non-state actors' influence. It aims to understand whether these movements have developed their own normative systems parallel to state mechanisms in response to environmental challenges.
In response to the escalating climate crisis, environmental activists are increasingly resorting to radical methods to pressure states into fulfilling their international climate commitments.
