The RenewIT project aims to create a simulation tool for evaluating the energy performance of data centers, focusing on integrating renewable energy sources. This tool will help stakeholders reduce carbon footprints and achieve net-zero energy goals by optimizing energy management strategies.
The interest in the carbon footprint of Data Centres (DCs) has become more urgent with the rapid increase in Cloud computing, High-Powered Computing, and the vast growth in Internet use, and of DCs as key enablers of this paradigm.
