This research investigates the cognitive mechanisms behind understanding others' mental states, proposing that these processes are largely automatic and develop early in infancy. The project aims to identify the conditions that trigger these abilities and their role in social interactions.
The central aim of the proposed research project is to systematically explore the empirical implications of a novel theoretical approach to the early representational preconditions and the functional structure of the mechanisms dedicated for understanding other minds.
