This project investigates the clustering of nuclear particles in low-mass systems to enhance understanding of nuclear stability and decay rates. It employs advanced measurement techniques to study short-lived isotopes, aiming to develop a versatile tool for nuclear structure research.
The extent to which nuclei can comprise lighter nuclear clusters in low-mass systems directly influences astrophysical production and decay rates.
However, the scope of clustering away from stability has yet to be fully investigated.
