RESPIRNA focuses on utilizing lung surfactant protein B to enhance the delivery of RNA therapeutics into lung cells. By developing innovative nanocarriers, the project aims to address the lack of effective RNA formulations for treating lung diseases, ultimately improving therapeutic options for patients.
RESPIRNA aims to repurpose lung surfactant protein B (SP-B) to promote the cytosolic delivery of RNA in lung-related target cells. RNA therapeutics, including small interfering RNA (siRNA) and messenger RNA (mRNA), are poised to revolutionize medicine.
