This project explores the role of sebaceous glands in skin inflammation and lipid metabolism. It aims to identify genetic programs that regulate these functions, potentially leading to new therapeutic strategies for skin diseases.
In the pathogenesis of dermal inflammation, sebaceous glands (SGs) were considered as impotent players that are under the control of other cell types, but without any feedback on them.
