This project investigates the role of non-coding RNAs in protein synthesis and their impact on lifespan extension. By studying how these RNAs interact with ribosomes, the research aims to enhance understanding of aging and improve health in later life.
Because old age is the largest risk factor for many human diseases, it is one of the key challenges of our time to find ways to increase healthy lifespan and reduce the loss of health in later life.
