This project focuses on improving measurement techniques for skid resistance, noise emission, and rolling resistance of road surfaces. It aims to support the development of European standards by building on insights from previous research initiatives.
The main objective of this project is to advance the harmonization of measurement methods for skid resistance, noise emission and rolling resistance of road pavements and prepare for standardization.
In this the project will follow the recommendations of key predecessor projects like TYROSAFE, HERMES, SILVIA and MIRIAM.
The project aims at performing prenormative research to enable the creation or improvement of European standards in the working field of the working group CEN TC 227 / WG5.
