This project investigates the relationship between abiotic stress and cell cycle regulation in plants. It focuses on how changes in glutathione levels affect cell division and stress tolerance, aiming to enhance understanding of plant responses to environmental challenges.
Abiotic stress has a major impact on plant growth and performance, crop yields being significantly decreased as a result of the cessation of growth under conditions of mild stress.
Growth arrest arises from a cessation of cell division in meristems.
