This project develops a new train positioning system using radar technology to enhance safety and efficiency in rail transport. It offers services for optimal speed control and precise braking, improving passenger comfort and reducing energy consumption.
Knowing the exact location of trains is extremely important for railway industry, as it increases security, passenger safety and traffic capacity as well as reducing energy consumption and pollutant emissions.
