RSENSE4Health develops a portable optoacoustic sensor that enables non-invasive monitoring of diabetes and cardiovascular disease effects in home settings. This technology aims to improve early detection and management of these conditions, addressing a significant health challenge in the EU.
Diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD) are responsible for the majority of the morbidity and mortality in the EU.
However, to date there is no technology available that offers a non-invasive and portable way for disseminated measurements of disease effects on the systemic level or for monitoring disease progression from early development stages. RSENSE4Health aims to accelerate the exploitation of a powerful, portable optoacoustic sensor, developed under the FET Open project RSENSE.
