This project focuses on studying strongly interacting quantum gases in optical lattices to explore novel quantum phenomena. It aims to develop techniques for creating many-body quantum states and fast quantum gates, enhancing the understanding of atomic physics and quantum information science.
Quantum gas systems have been recognized as quantum simulators that can directly compare theoretical models and experiments because of unprecedented experimental conditions.
Here, we propose experimental studies on strongly interacting quantum gases in an optical lattice.
The key ingredients of our research are the strong and long-range dipolar interactions from Rydberg excited states and two-component Bosonic atoms in optical lattices, which can simulate Heisenberg Hamiltonian.
